I've probably mentioned before that I am impressed by paranormal researcher Fiona Broome of Hollow Hill. I may not agree with everything she says, but I have found her to be a serious researcher who puts a lot of thought into why she comes up with the conclusions she does. Her latest book is 101 Ghost Hunting Questions Answered. It's a compilation of answers to questions she gets asked most often. Not surprisingly, most of it is beginner level stuff. I also appreciate the fact that she is upfront about the fact that she doesn't necessarily know everything. To quote her blog,
"Many of my “answers” are just guesses. I’m honest about how little we know and don’t know in this field. So, if you’re expecting firm and unwavering dogmatic answers to most questions… this is not the book for you.
Usually, I answer the questions as completely — but succinctly — as I can. Often, if there are opposing views, I’ll present both sides of the argument and explain why I think my answer is better. In some cases, I refer people to my free course for a more complete answer. That’s the same free course I offer here. It’s not perfect, but it’s one of the best online, and one of the few (maybe the only one?) that’s both thorough and free."
She is offering the book as a free download on Kindle today (July 14, 2012) and on her birthday, September 14, 2012. Just click on the link to the book above. Even if you miss out on the free download, the regular price is only $3. Don't have a Kindle? You can get free Kindle software to use on your computer or read it online on the Kindle Cloud reader. A print version will be available later this month for $8 for 138 pages.
