Fine, I'll be the first...

On this one it sounded like he said "One Strong Demon" or "One Satanic Demon".

Maybe "One strong demon."

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/533.gif)

Hard to tell for sure, though, after already hearing what someone thought was said (on the show).

No way that says "demon". I looped it, and looked up similar sounding words to what I'm picking up on RhymeZone. It's nonsense to me - but it sounds like "One fortunate scenic student" I'm sorry, but that's what I hear. And folks, this guy has a very distinctive speech pattern; sibilant and strong pronunciation of the "t" at the end. Anybody around there at the time sound like that?

I listened to these several times, looped it, filtered it, amplified it.... and I hate to be such a skeptic but what it sounds like to me is the sounds you hear when you try to tune in an AM station when they are on half power or out of range.
Sorry, I'm totally on the "hoax" camp on this one.

I have a question though, How do you knw that you were not being interfered with by the radios and other radio equipment on the grounds? I am certain that the operational parts of the facility (the prison) did not full shut down it's operation so that the investigation had complete control of all the noises and or interference.

It seems there is more to be skeptical of than there is to buy into.

I agree. I'm really sorry to sound flip, but it just came across as very "One-Adam-Twelve" to me as though it was interference from another transmission somewhere...

I completely agree. I was really on the fence, leaning towards being more skeptical, after seeing it on the show. After thinking more about it, and listening to this, I just don't buy it.

but it sounds like "One fortunate scenic student"

I was just thinking, the grounds where the episode takes place are really quite scenic lots of green grass, beautiful lake front.

Maybe the spirit of Lucy wanted the "Students" to know that they were fortunate to have an opportunity to see the beauty of it and not get caught up in the "unfortuante side" of the grounds history!

So you really think it was a spirit? Except, this one was a guy... The whole thing is verrrry subjective...

I'm going to agree with JMCghostwatcher. I don't mean to offend or be cheeky, but I hear 'one bulimic kind of chick.' This could be someone talking on a radio frequency.

Sounds like a badly tuned in AM radio station to me. Didn't the guy on the show say that the box compiled white noise as well as "empty" radio frequencies?

there are at least 2 very large transmitters in the area, one for the county law enforcement facility adn another one for the maximum security prison about 3-4 miles away (depends on which route you take to get there) and then there is another one about 10 miles away (again depends on route ), and it sounded like just when people tale over eah other on the radio with static to me

Sorry, but on all of these, while a couple of words come through clearly, I don't believe the dead are talking. The problem is compounded by the man operating the box who "interprets" what he thinks he hears, often speaking over the clip.

This device needs a great deal of testing without an interpreter. At present, the clips rely on the suggestibility of the listener. Everything on these recordings is adversely affected by the interpreter, who basically is suggesting what should be heard. You have to try to pull "demon" out of the first recording. If you have to work that hard at it, it's dubious at best.

Whoa thanks for putting those on for us to listen first off..Its what Ive been waiting for!

First one
I definetly heard "demon"

Second one
Was harder for me to hear..The speakers on this computer arent very loud. Ill have to take a better listen later.

Third one
I heard "there are/were 7" Just wish mr.moon wouldve stopped talking so I could have heard the first part of the audio better..

This is exciting..Coincidence is an odd notion to entertain after hearing the responses..Especially with the particular questions that were being asked. I hope to see alot more of Franks box later!

Muchas Gracias!
