PARANORMAL STATE 2:
Episode 2.4: "Smoke & Shadows" Monday, August 4th, 2008, 10:30pm EST/9C WHAT A&E SAYS: Sarah believes her Parkville, MD home has been invaded by a powerful force ever since her roommate Dennis moved in. PRS investigates claims that Dennis has been attacked by the entity, a possible poltergeist. But when photos of the alleged entity raise more questions, the probe takes a turn towards the personal. WHAT PRS SAYS: This is probably going to be one of the more controversial episodes of PS amongst paranormal enthusiasts. The question is raised over the legitimacy of the clients, something we've never tackled on the show. We will be posting a lot of content over this investigation. -------------------- Ryan Buell

I can't wait to see how PRS handles this, especially after reading the post from...can't remember his name, but it's on some other thread. I'm looking forward to it!

That's his name! Yes, Jim Jones. I actually took Debs up on her offer and she got me the myspace site... for not liking PRS to much, he sure does have a rather large picture of them displayed on his page. *shrug* I will say that he has a very interesting profile. Talks a lot about himself and his accomplishments... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

wait wait..who is this jones charcter? what's going on? i missed something. somebody fill me in. i'm really glad that you guys are doing an episode that questions the credibility of the client. everytime i watch the show i get the "so they just believe them because they said so" comment from anyone who happens to be watcing with me. of course i try to explain how PRS's purpose is aimed more towards helping the people rather then evidence gathering and that so much is edited out who knows what is known to PRS and not to us, but that will only get you so far with a skeptic. i can't wait to see how you guys handle it and what it is that tips you off that this might not be legitimate. Oblieux,
A guy named Jim Jones, who has his own paranormal research group in Maryland, posted a letter (I think on his myspace page) to paranormal researchers in the field that he feels are frauds, phony's, or incompetent. One of the people that he sighted was Ryan and the rest of the PRS team. If you go back to the first post, you can read the entire thing; it's all in blue. But that's basically what we're talking about. I'd repeat it, but honestly, it's to long! |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Love is an ability! Not a feeling. Wow 17 and you already know that. Thanks for reminding me. Sometimes your first love still "haunts" you, I bet.
When will we ever learn. I hope you can acquire a personal experience that makes a believer out of you. Because, just because. Someday Psychics will be our society's way of glimpsing the way to see the unseen and to solve problems and crimes. Anyway... just trying this out, too. -J =; |

Ok, Ryan. So you probably get a boat load of messages. But this one may be a new one.
When I was a kid, I saw and entity open the front door of my house as I lay asleep on the couch. The man looked a LOT like Fred Rogers. The flickering light of his full color body politely closed the door and waved at me as if to say "Hello, little boy." I kicked and screamed instantly and ran to mom's bedroom. The reason I registered today, though is because I lost sleep last night and this morning (different house). I heard what sounded like rough sex in the apartment above me... and this is complicated. I ignored it last night and avter it stopped I got a few more hours of rest. Then at 7 am or so it began again. Definitely not plumbing. The gal up there has men over all the time. But this time she insisted NO ONE else was here this morning... or last night. She is an alcoholic mother of 2 daughters around 7 and 10 yrs old. She lost custody. But their daddy drops them off here for her to watch anyway. I am a mandatory reporter and wonder how she can possibly care for these girls properly. They are both funny and I like them. Most kids like me a lot because I'm well, childlike. Have you ever heard of 'sex ghosts'. I mean she could have been passed out and being raped by a demon. But whatever is around my house is bothering me a lot recently. I know how to control my fears, but I'd like to get my life in order and soon she will be OUT because I've urged my dad (Landlord) to give her notice. I just feel there's a nagging presence and I am messaging you because it's my best guess at where to begin. Juddson Ryan Baker |

I wish Dennis would've gone into more about his Vietnam experience, although I'm glad he didn't because it wouldn't be helpful to his recovery. It's horrible what emotional stress, especially from war, can do to someone.

Personally speaking, we've got a case of good ole' hard core PTSD going on here. When Chip said Vietnam, my head flashed back to the picture of them coming down the stairs into the den where the couch and pillows were, and I thought that that set up was very much like a 'fort' set up, or a 'bunker' set up. Remember when we were kids and we'd wall ourselves around anything we could find like pillows and chairs and stuff to make a fort?
This poor guy isn't mentally unstable or anything like that! He's never been treated for PTSD, and speaking as someone who knows to guys who came back from Iraq who have PTSD (and aren't getting treated for it), that can and WILL mess with you the rest of your life. Dennis probably hasn't had a good nights sleep since his last tour. How could you in that war? And he actually enlisted?! I give him props for that, major ones. He's reliving Vietnam, he never dealt with it. One of my good friends has been back from Iraq for a year and a half, and he STILL looks at the roofs of buildings to see if there are snipers on there. He was military police in Iraq for 18 months; he saw some sh*t. That Jim Jones guy, if he and those other dudes were any kind of investigators would have asked if there was anything PERSONAL or EMOTIONAL going on, because those things can and do influence and attract negative activity. But no; they just debunked it all and called the guy a headcase. What creeps! I hope their all watching right now and going, "oh, that's what was wrong with him! Crap, why didn't we ask if there was anything emotional going on?" *seeths* Sorry, I'm really pissed right now. I know how hard it is being around someone with PTSD, and the fact that those idiots would just dismiss it as insanity? ESPECIALLY JIM JONES!!!!! On his myspace page, he mentions being a First Deputy sheriff with the Baltimore Police. YOU'D THINK HE'D KNOW THE WARNING SIGNS!!!!!!!!!!!! |
